You don’t need a big expensive fishing boat to have a great time fishing. Many lakes have great places to fish from shore. Knowing how to pick your shore fishing spots will greatly increase your chance of catching fish. Fishing on the shore where the grass has been mowed is good as you won’t catch you line in the shoreline weeds. Always look for an area with cover, such as logs, rocks, and overhanging trees, always a good place to start. On very sunny days, fish will find cover, to hide. Fishing near logs and rocks in the water are where the fish like to hide. If there are no logs and rocks near the shore, look for an overhanging tree that will offer the fish a darker shaded area in which to hide. On overcast days the chances of catching fish in the open water is greater. Changing the bait, using artificial and live bait on different rods will give you a good idea what the fish are interested, and also increase your chance of a catch. A cooler of cold drinks, a picnic basket full of your favorite goodies, will have you ready to enjoy a full day of fishing.Take a look here to learn more: How To Catch Bait Fish
